Looking back to one the greatest events we’ve had earlier this year, when OrangeBlock hosted a launch for the first family Pramathon in South Africa.
5 May 2019 is the day we will always remember – with Pramathon we gave wonderful mothers and fathers a chance to get outside and connect with their kids!
This wonderful event was just mere 20 minutes from Sandton, but it felt like a mini holiday away from the stresses of normal city life, at the beautiful Val Bonne Country Estate in Modderfontein Nature Reserve.
Mothers, fathers and kids came in numbers to be part of the celebration.
Not only were they enjoying a day out with family and friends, but they were also be supporting families who are less fortunate through partnership with Cotlands.
Cotlands is a multi-award winning, non-profit organization that believes the key to building a stronger nation is ensuring that as many potential vulnerable children as possible have access to play-based early learning opportunities during early childhood, in a safe and nurturing environment, while parents try to find employment.
Some attendees brought their old baby stuff for donation and were distributed through Cotlands to families in need.
The event however, started off with a chilled 3km Pram Walk where all older kids and additional adults were welcome to join. Spectators were also welcomed to book their spot on the lawn, absorb the beautiful surroundings, listen to some live music, and wonder around the hand-made good flea market stalls filled with children’s goodies, and even some special items for the adults.
One of the highlights of the day was the kids play area, hosted by Clamber Club, experts in children’s entertainment and therapeutic movement, where there were activities for kids all ages, providing a fantastic day out for the kids.
There were also fantastic prizes for “Best Dressed Pram”, the winner of the “Eye Spy” kids’ competition, as well as many other prizes throughout the day.
